Jean Louis Catrysse

Jean Louis Catrysse, Founder and Managing Partner, InReg

Jean Louis Catrysse is the founder and managing partner of InReg (www.inreg.eu), a leading provider of  competency-based monitoring, advisory and training solutions to the asset management and life insurance sectors. He is a recognised expert in regulatory reporting, fund disclosures and cross-border distribution.

Jean Louis has spent his entire career in the asset management industry, where he has occupied various roles and responsibilities in different Luxembourg fund administration firms before moving to a Luxembourg Fundtech (Kneip), where he spent more than a decade. As Kneip's innovation manager, he significantly contributed to the development of the firm's regulatory products such as UCITS IV cross border notifications tool, UCITS KIID solution, PRIIPs KID and AIFMD Annex IV and advised the company with regulatory intelligence.

Jean Louis co-founded InReg in 2016 to provide advice on product implementation and regulatory intelligence to investment fund managers. In October 2019, he assumed complete ownership of InReg. Jean Louis has a bachelors degree in accounting from Haute Ecole de la Province de Liège in Belgium.

 

Cliodhna Murphy

Cliodhna Murphy, Executive Director, MUFG Investor Services

Cliodhna Murphy is an Executive Director for Product Development at MUFG Investor Services with responsibility for Hedge Fund and Fund of Hedge fund lines of Business. Cliodhna joined MUFG Investor Services from Man Group where she served under various roles including Business Manager for GLG Credit, Head of Investment Management Services and Head of Investor Services. Prior to Man Group, Cliodhna was Chief Operating Officer for the start-up Asset Manager Decura, she was a VP at Goldman Sachs Administration Services and an Associate at Morgan Stanley Fund Services. She earned a Bachelors degree in International Insurance and European Studies from the University of Limerick.

 

Mark Shaw

Mark Shaw, Partner, Wildgen

Mark joined Wildgen in 2018. He was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2004 and specialises in the structuring and distribution of regulated and unregulated funds, and has experience across the liquidity spectrum. Before joining Wildgen, Mark worked in-house at a number of fund management businesses, where he worked with internal clients, leading them through the earliest stages of the establishment of funds and management companies, through the legal and regulatory aspects of launches, and ongoing matters relating to the management, governance and global distribution of funds.

Mark is known for his commercial and pragmatic approach to issues around fund management stemming from his background in-house. His breadth of buy-side experience in the funds industry spans structures and jurisdictions and allows him to take a uniquely broad and commercial viewpoint. While Mark specialises in funds, he is also responsible for representing the firm in the UK, assisting clients across the full range of matters of Luxembourg law, including matters relating to Brexit. He also advises on the legal issues raised by the EU’s emerging sustainable finance regulatory regime. Mark is Co-Director of the UK Chapter of the Hedge Fund Association and a lecturer at the Henley Business School (hedge fund structuring). Mark holds a Bachelor of Law (hons) from the University of Birmingham. He has been a member of the Luxembourg Bar since 2018 (List IV of the Luxembourg Bar). Mark is a financial services and funds lawyer, working across regulated and unregulated fund structuring and distribution, and broader FS/corporate/commercial matters.  His breadth of buy-side experience in the funds industry spans structures and jurisdictions and allows him to take a uniquely broad and commercial viewpoint.

 

Attilio Veneziano

Attilio Veneziano, Founder, Veneziano & Partners

Attilio Veneziano is the founder of Veneziano & Partners (www.venezianoandpartners.co.uk) and a known expert of European regulation on financial services, with a focus on European cross-border investment funds distribution. He regularly contributes to several well-known industry publications.

Mr. Veneziano is a qualified lawyer in Italy and a Solicitor in England and Wales. He started his career in London in the early 2000s as a practitioner in European extradition law. After that, he held different in-house legal positions at major financial institutions (Nomura, Barclays) focussing on the offshore investment funds industry. With more than 15 years' experience and a unique blend of diversified exposure to cross-border European matters - from European extradition cases through complex pan-European fund distribution projects - he founded Veneziano & Partners in 2013, in the aftermath of the implementation of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive. Veneziano & Partners is a leading regulatory boutique specialised in European Fund Distribution and assist fund managers with pan-European distribution endeavours of their investment funds.

Mr. Veneziano is a veteran of the Square Mile in London and today divides his time between the UK and the US to help boutique US investment fund managers of all sizes with their European cross-border distribution strategy.

Eoin Motherway, Ireland Country Head, AMX

Eoin Motherway joined AMX in 2016 to lead its team based in Ireland. He’s been in the industry for over 25 years with roles at firms like BNY Mellon, State Street and Goldman Sachs.

Eoin holds an MSc from Dublin City University, is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Chair of the Board of Directors of Shine Ireland, an organisation working with young people with autism. Eoin is a regular commentator on the Irish funds industry.
