Pouya Azimi: Vice President, Head of Risk, Laven Partners

Pouya Azimi

Pouya Azimi is the Head of Risk at Laven Advisors where he is responsible for monitoring and managing Laven’s investment management platform's portfolios. Before becoming the Head of Risk, Pouya previously worked as an investment and operations due diligence analyst and was in charge of assessing different funds strategies and performance track records. Before joining Laven in 2015, Pouya worked as a quantitative researcher at OSSIAM Inc. (a Natixis affiliate) in Paris where he assisted with equity portfolios optimisation. Pouya has a background in engineering as well as financial modelling across a wide range of strategies. He holds a master’s degree in international finance from HEC Paris and is a graduate engineer from the University of Toronto. Pouya is a CFA charter holder.


Paul Das: Founder & CEO, ProFundCom

Paul Das

Paul is the Founder and Managing Director of ProFundCom. Starting the business in 2003, Paul wanted to fulfil a vision to provide digital engagement analytics that would directly benefit sales and marketing processes in financial institutions. This has lead to ProFundCom being totally focused on helping the financial services industry use digital marketing to raise AuM.

Paul has an excellent pedigree in software from working at AT&T, Microsoft and Apple, both in the UK and the USA and holds a first-class degree in Electronic Systems Engineering from Kingston University – where he was also the winner of the Cadence Design Prize for his final year project.


Dave Shastri: Chief Strategy Officer, Truss Edge

Dave Shastri

Dave has over 30 years of banking and investment experience. He is the CSO of Truss Edge, the complete software and operations platform for hedge funds, CTAs and ETFs and he is also the CEO of MATware , the portfolio management system for institutional investors in hedge funds and private equity. Dave was Managing Director of FundXchange which was acquired by Zurich Financial Services. For over 18 years he was at the Bank of Bermuda with his last position as Vice President and Head of Business Development of Global Fund Services, EMEA and he has assisted managers in establishing hedge funds since 1992. Dave is a director of a number of prominent private investment businesses.
