Sinead Byrne

Sinead Byrne, Chief Operating Officer, Initiative Ireland

Sinead has over 15 years’ experience in the financial services industry. As COO she leads the operational activities of the company in addition to overseeing all change programs within the organisation. Having specialized in managing risk strategy and operations within national and multinational Irish and European finance providers, inclusive of Ulster Bank and Citi Bank, she also coordinated all regulatory engagements. Sinead holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematical studies and Psychology from National University of Ireland, Galway followed by a Higher Diploma in Financial Mathematics jointly from Heriot Watt University and University of Edinburgh.

Jörn has been providing solutions to the regulatory and economic challenges of investors for more than 20 years. Before he joined investment manager SCIO Capital as Partner, he was working in Goldman Sachs’ Pension and Insurance Solutions Group. Previously, he spent a decade in Deutsche Bank’s Global Markets division.

Jörn acts as sparring partner for a number of start-up companies and currently serves on the advisory board of two fintech companies and one venture capital fund.


Grant Davidson

Grant Davidson, Co-Head of UK Private Debt, Muzinich & Co

Grant is Co-Head of UK Private Debt at Muzinich & Co. Before joining Muzinich, Grant was at Investec and Lyceum Capital where he was responsible for the origination and execution of funding opportunities in the U.K. lower mid-market. He earned a degree from Bristol University in Maths and French and is ACA qualified.

Carl Giannotta

Carl Giannotta, Director, Fundraising and IR, Lendinvest

Carl is responsible for raising capital and investor relations at LendInvest. Prior to joining LendInvest 5 years ago Carl held roles in institutional sales at KAS Bank and at Barclays.


Paul House

Paul House, Managing Partner, Venn Partners

Paul is a Managing Partner and founder of Venn Partners Commercial Real Estate business.  Previously, Paul spent over 20 years with Citigroup, from an initial start as a credit analyst in Canada in 1993 he moved to a variety of roles within Citi in New York and then onto London in 2000.  In 2010, Paul moved to head Citi’s European Investment Banking Real Estate business before leaving to commence Venn’s commercial real estate business in 2013.   Paul has a wealth of experience in origination of loan investments, transaction structuring, as well as equity and debt advisory.  Paul is a member of the CFA Institute and holds a MBA from Schulich School of Business in Toronto, Canada


Federica Pietrogrande

Federica Pietrogrande, Managing Director, Gordon Brothers

Federica is a member of the Investment & Finance team with a focus on the development of Gordon Brothers’ special situations strategy across Europe, which utilises a highly flexible and opportunistic approach for alternative debt and equity investments, involving companies in distress or in need of capital solutions.  Federica’s focus is on structuring the deal and is committed to the entire lifecycle of the investment from origination through exit.  

Federica also manages Gordon Brothers’ legal strategy in Europe - and supports the international business.  She works with the business divisions, across all jurisdictions, to structure and manage deals, addressing specific legal issues, qualifying, quantifying and mitigating the relevant risks involved. 

Before joining Gordon Brothers in early 2018, Federica practiced law for 15 years in major international law firms in Italy and abroad, specialising in corporate bankruptcy and restructuring, with a focus on distressed investing and cross-border transactions. She now brings her experience to unlock opportunities in different jurisdictions.

Federica has a law degree from Rome Universita’ La Sapienza and an LL.M in Banking, Corporate and Finance from New York Fordham Law School. 

Federica is a native Italian speaker and fluent in English. 


Craig Reeves

Craig Reeves, Founder, Prestige Funds

Craig established Prestige in 2007 and has since raised over USD 2 billion. He has over 25 years' experience as a professional investment manager, trader and investor of alternative investments, hedge funds, capital markets and real estate, and regularly contributes to financial journals such as the AIMA journal and the Financial Times. He is regulated by the FCA (UK), MFSA (Malta), CSSF (Luxembourg) and FINMA (Switzerland).


Nick Smith

Nick Smith, Director, Private Credit, Alternative Credit Council

Nick Smith joined AIMA in February 2017 and is currently Director, Private Credit. His role focuses on public policy and regulatory issues for the non-bank lending sector on behalf of the Alternative Credit Council.  Prior to joining AIMA, Nick worked in advocacy roles for the banking and asset finance sectors concentrating on credit regulation, FATCA, wealth management, corporate governance and professional standards. Nick has a degree in Politics and Modern History from the University of Manchester.


Tedmond Wong

Tedmond Wong, Principal, The Firmament Group

Tedmond Y. Wong is a Principal at The Firmament Group based in the London office, where he is involved in all aspects of the firm’s investment activities. Mr. Wong is responsible for transaction execution, the firm’s international expansion efforts, and recruitment and training of junior investment professionals. Mr. Wong currently serves on the Board of Directors for Pearl & Dean, Logistyx Technologies, and Transferre Technologies. Mr. Wong joined Firmament at its inception in 2013 and has developed principal investment experience in over $200 million of debt and minority equity transactions in the lower middle market in both the U.S. & U.K.   

Mr. Wong began his career in private equity as an analyst at Wasserstein & Co., where he evaluated middle market buyout opportunities in the domestic consumer products and media sectors. Mr. Wong has also spent time in the capital markets group of the law firm Herbert Smith LLP in London. In addition, Mr. Wong brings operational and fundraising experience from leadership and advisory roles at small businesses in the talent agency and manufacturing industries.

Mr. Wong holds an MBA, with a concentration in finance, from The Wharton School where he served as Co-Chair of the Wharton Restructuring & Distressed Investing Conference. Mr. Wong also holds a J.D. from Penn Law School, where he served as an editor of the Penn Law Review. Mr. Wong received his B.A. cum laude in economics from Harvard University
